ACO Emerging Artists’ Program 2020

The Australian Chamber Orchestra’s (ACO) Emerging Artists’ Program connects the next generation of talented young Australian string players with members of the ACO.

Each Emerging Artist receives:
  • Paid, intensive chamber music rehearsals and chamber orchestra performances with members of the ACO;
  • Private lessons with an ACO mentor;
  • Audition preparation;
  • Access to ACO rehearsals and concerts.

Essential Criteria For Applicants:

  • Australian string players aged between 18 – 27;
  • Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen;
  • And have extensive performance experience.

Applications are open now and close COB Wed 24 Apr 2019.

How to Apply

In order to submit your application, please complete an online form or email caitlin.gilmour@aco.com.au the following:

  • An unedited MP3 or WAV audio recording (no videos) of you:
    • Two contrasting works or movements, at least one of which should be with piano accompaniment;
    • Optional chamber music work;
    • Please list the title and composer of the pieces you are submitting.
  • A current CV;
  • Complete the online application form.
