This exciting international creative writing challenge, organised by NYC Midnight Movie Making Madness, features several rounds in an exciting and time based competition.
Designed to help discover and promote a new wave of talented storytellers. NYC Midnight aims to provide the prizes and exposure necessary for writers to take their next big step towards writing professionally.
Participants have to create original short stories (1,000 words max.) based on genre, location, and object assignments in just 48 hours.
There are four levels to the challenge and you’ll need to beat other competitors to move up to the final challenge.

How to sign up
You’ll need to read and agree to the rules.
Pay the entry fee (USD$48 if you sign up by deadline June 6, 2019 and USD$58 until the final entry deadline of July 11, 2019).
You’ll receive instructions and updates to your nominated email address.

Note: If you’re under 18 you are still eligible to take part, but you’ll need to have a have a parent or guardian send their consent to feedback@nycmidnight.com with the following information:
1. The subject line of the e-mail should be: Parental Consent for Flash Fiction Challenge 2019
2. Their consent for your participation in the competition in the body of the e-mail. For example, “I am the parent/guardian of __________(Participant Name) and I hereby provide consent for him/her to participate in the Flash Fiction Challenge 2019 on nycmidnight.com”
3. The full name and phone number of the parent/guardian in the body of the e-mail.
