Volunteer with the Ningaloo Turtle Program

The Ningaloo Turtle Program requires volunteer “Turtle Trackers” to record turtle nesting data along the beaches of the North West Cape in Western Australia. The aim of the NTP is to promote the long-term survival of turtle populations.

Volunteers stay in the town of Exmouth for 5 weeks from 8 December 2019 to 13 January 2020. Duties will include turtle track monitoring and data entry. Volunteers spend 3-6 hours every morning walking designated sections of beach recording important turtle nesting information.

There is a cost of $1300 for accommodation and transport during the program. Volunteers must be 18 or over, or be supervised by an adult.

If you are passionate about wildlife and conservation, this is the perfect opportunity to gain experience. No previous experience is necessary to participate in the program.

Applications are open now and close at 4.00pm on Monday 5 August. Find out how to apply here.
