If you’re currently studying Year 12 in Victoria or Queensland, and applying for courses through VTAC for 2020, you’ll now be eligible to receive a course offer in December, just after your ATAR comes out. You’ll still be eligible in the existing offer rounds in January and February as well, but an extra December round provides you with the additional chance to receive a course offer.
Students from every other state will have places reserved in the January offer rounds so they won’t be disadvantaged, you’ll just have to wait a bit longer.
5 August – applications open
12 December – ATAR and VCE results released
14 December – change of preference closed for VCE and QCE students
18 December – offers released (and change of preferences open again)
20 December – change of preferences closes for 2019 (you’ll still have more chances to get offers and change preferences in 2020)
