Applications open on 13 July 2019 for 33 apprenticeships with Wilmar Sugar, across 4 sites in Queensland.
The apprenticeships will begin in January 2020. Seventeen apprentices will be based in the Burdekin, six in Ingham, about four in Proserpine and five in Sarina.
If you’re interested in being trained as a diesel fitter, boilermaker, fitter and turner, or electrician, then this could be a perfect opportunity for you.

The apprenticeship program runs for four years and combines both theory (off-the-job) and practical (on-the-job) education.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Meet the minimum education requirement of Year 10 sound achievement (pass) in Maths and English
- Have your own transport or the ability to get to and from work
- Be in good health
