Young Scholars Program (YSP) | UQ

High achieving Year 11 students can get the opportunity to experience University life at UQ.

The Young Scholars Program (YSP) is designed to provide academic enrichment and expose them to a wide range of potential study areas.

The 2019-2020 UQ Young Scholars Program involves:

  • A five-day (four-night) Residential Camp at the St Lucia campus
  • A YSP Open Day Reunion (Early August 2020)
  • Facebook Group Networking & Support

There is an academic component to the program as well as involvement in group discussions, collaborative forums and social, sporting and cultural activities.

Selection for the program is based on a student’s academic, leadership and community service achievements.

Eligibility:

– Enrolled in Year 11 at a Queensland secondary school
– OP eligible and intending to pursue university studies on completion of Year 12

Application close on Friday 9 August 2019 (4pm).

Cost:

The Program cost of $615 (inclusive of GST) has been subsided by UQ, and includes all activities, meals and accommodation (four nights in total) for the residential camp.
