In 2020 Macquarie is launching the new Bachelor of Linguistics and Language Sciences. Ever wondered who taught Siri how to talk? Linguistics is the scientific study of language. The Bachelor of Linguistics and Language Sciences will develop students understanding of language and how it’s used. They’ll explore the structure of language, how children acquired it and how it’s processed in the brain.
This degree will prepare students for a wide range of careers like forensic linguistics, language preservation and revitalisation, organisational communication or language analysis for technical innovation. Or students can double this degree with any other degree and change the way they see the world.
