Brisbane City Council Apprenticeship Program

Brisbane City Council’s Apprenticeship program provides apprentices with the skills, training and experience to graduate as a qualified tradesperson.

Council provides excellent on-the-job training, as well as additional training to complement your technical ability. Training includes areas such as leadership, communication, negotiation, resilience, career management and mental health and wellbeing.

We employ a diverse range of trade apprentices across Brisbane and within various industries, including:

  • construction: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, engineering (fabrication)
  • automotive: auto electrical, heavy vehicle mechanics, auto manufacturing, signage and graphics
  • horticulture: arboriculture, parks and gardens, sports turf management.
