OP to ATAR – What’s the difference?

Students who started year 11 in Queensland last year were the first to trial the switch from OP to ATAR. At the end of this year, they will be the first cohort in Queensland to receive ATARs instead of OPs.

But is there really much of a difference between the two systems? Is one more stressful than the other? Why has the change been made in the first place?

Chilli Crawford is a year 12 student from Rockhampton that has written a great blog all about the changes from OP to ATAR and what it has meant for her at school.

You can read all about the changes here: https://cqunilife.com/2019/12/18/atar-and-me-a-new-relationship/
