Indigenous Support Services at the University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne has a community of over 370 Indigenous students. The university offers specialised support services and resources for these students to assist with their studies.

Some of these resources include:

  • The Murrup Barak, Melbourne Institute for Indigenous Development – provides assistance to current and prospective Indigenous students on academic, cultural and personal matters
  • Supported degree programs – the Bachelor of Arts (Extended) and Bachelor of Science (Extended) degrees are tailored specially for Indigenous students
  • Scholarship programs – a variety of scholarships and bursaries to help with the costs of study and accommodation
