If you are wanting to study the University of Melbourne’s Doctor of Medicine (MD), you might want to consider starting with their Bachelor of Biomedicine.
The Bachelor of Biomedicine provides a solid foundation in biomedical science, and some subjects count as prior knowledge for the MD. This means that you can free up some more time during the MD to explore other subjects or specialise further in biomedicine.
But you don’t have to do the Bachelor of Biomedicine to guarantee entry into the MD; in 2022, the University is removing prerequisite subjects as selection criteria for entry into the MD. This means you can get a spot even if you haven’t studied any science or health related subjects in your previous degree.
