UQ Public Health Hackathon

Teams of Year 11 and 12 students will work together to solve a contemporary health issue facing Australia. Teams will be briefed on the issue on the day of the competition, and race the clock to prepare a recommendation — which will be presented to a panel of public health experts from both UQ and government.

The winning team will be crowned the hackathon champions and will receive more than $1,000 in cash prizes and merchandise.

During the competition day, students will rub shoulders with some of the world’s leading public health minds. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

The competition will be held at UQ’s St Lucia campus on Wednesday 3 June.

Teams must be registered by Monday 11 May.
