Becoming an Author in High School

For a lot of us, getting a book published might seem like a far-off dream. But for Year 11 student Georgia Wright, this dream has become a reality.

At just 16 years old she has recently had her very first novel published, called Love Hurts. Georgia said that reading and storytelling has always been a huge part of her life, and she started writing her first book in Year 8.

She said that she received a great amount of support from her school, teachers and friends. And she’s already looking forward to the future, starting to write her second novel and planning to study creative writing at university.
