Want to study engineering at uni, but not sure if you’ll meet the entry requirements? Or maybe you’re undecided and want a taste of what engineering might be like before jumping in to a Bachelor degree.
The University of Newcastle’s new Diploma of Engineering could provide you with the skills and knowledge you’ll need to jump straight into work, or to continue on with your studies. This one-year course is ideal for anyone who didn’t meet the entry requirements for the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), or who wants to see what engineering is like before committing to an undergraduate degree.
Best of all, by successfully completing the Diploma of Engineering you could receive up to 80 units of credit towards your degree, and guarantee your entry into any of the specialisations of the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Newcastle.
You don’t even need an ATAR. If you’ve completed Year 12 or are a mature aged student who didn’t finish Year 12, you could be eligible to apply.
You can study the Diploma of Engineering at the University of Newcastle’s Callaghan campus.
