Growing up in Tamworth in NSW, Karlie Noon never really had a great time at school when she was younger.
But, with the help of an Aunty, discovering her love for maths ended up setting her on an entirely new path. Today, she has completed both degrees in Maths and Science, as well as a Masters of Astronomy and Astrophysics. She also has a show on ABC Canberra Radio, where she talks about the latest space discoveries and her local Gamilaraay language.
Her goal is to inspire more young Indigenous kids to come from backgrounds similar to hers and show the opportunities that can come from education.
