CDU Indigenous Pre-Law Enabling Program

Charles Darwin University’s Indigenous Pre-Law Enabling Program aims to increase the number of indigenous lawyers in the Northern Territory.

This year, the program had more than 20 successful applicants from remote locations across the NT. For people living in remote areas who may be the first in their family to consider university, there can be many obstacles to getting into university. Program coordinator Dr Guzyal Hill says the goal of the program is to “break those barriers and create a support network for our students to overcome the hurdles and complete the degree.”
