Light up the Lane is the City of Hobart’s premier digital youth arts festival which transforms the city by projecting digital work onto buildings, fences, windows, doors, footpaths and anywhere else we can. The event is an opportunity for our community to celebrate the skill, passion and creativity of young artists, transforming the urban landscape into an exciting pop-up digital art gallery.
We are looking for young artists aged 12 – 25 interested in projecting their work in a digital format.
Projections will vary in size from small intimate pieces to those that cover the side of a building. Artworks can include photos, graphic design, zines, short films, video, animation, manga, text, written word, cartoons, drawings, and paintings – you might even have traditional artwork that we can help you digitize.
Expressions of interest are open now and close Friday 16 April.
