From Semester 1 2022, students will no longer need to submit a two-step application to be considered for admission to the University of Newcastle’s Bachelor of Midwifery program.

In previous years, applicants had to submit a standard UAC application and also a direct application listing their preference for clinical placement location. The direct clinical placement application is no longer required.

From 2022, applicants simply need to submit a standard UAC application, listing the Bachelor of Midwifery as a preference. Successful applicants will be selected on the basis of their selection rank.

Admission to the Bachelor Midwifery is highly competitive, and it is likely that all places will be offered in the main December Round 2 offer round. The December Round 2 application deadline is 15 November, so make sure you get your UAC application in before then.
