10 Cool Careers on TikTok

TikTok isn’t just a place where you can watch funny videos and learn new dances; you can also find out about some pretty cool careers on there as well.

Lots of people are starting to put up videos of their jobs, and it’s a great way to get a sneak-peek into heaps of interesting careers.

We’ve found some awesome careers and people you might like to check out.

Antarctic Scientist

Could you imagine living in the South Pole? Well, that’s what Toni on ice (@antwuhnet) does.

Toni has posted videos showcasing the incredible landscape of Antarctica, as well as what it’s like to live in one of the coldest places on Earth. You also get to meet some of the other scientists she works with and see what they do.

See all her videos here.

Most of us think of fishing as a relaxing pastime. Norwegian fisherman Benjamin Bakke (@fisherbenny) proves that it’s anything but.

Watch how he copes (and sometimes doesn’t) with the boat being knocked around by huge waves, see some of the weird and wonderful things they catch, and hear what Benjamin’s favourite parts of the job are.

Here’s a career you might not have thought existed. Kelsey Koonce (@its.kels) is a professional mermaid with a company called Wands & Wishes.

As well as providing entertainment in both aquariums and out in the open ocean, they also aim to raise awareness about the environment and conservation. We reckon it looks like a lot of fun too.
