NESA Updates and UAC Changes to Key Dates

Due to the extended and on-going lockdowns in New South Wales, UAC have made some changes to dates previously published.

UAC Changes to Key Dates for 2021:

 

  • 9am 17 DECEMBER 2021 NSW and ACT ATARs released on the UAC Website
  • 11.59 pm 18 DECEMBER 2021 Undergraduate: Change preferences for December Round 2 offers (Originally published as Mon 13 Dec 2021). Change your preferences by midnight. All undergraduate applicants will then be unable to change preferences for future rounds until 7.30am on 22 December.
  • 7.30am 22 DECEMBER 2021 Undergraduate: December Round 2 offers released (Originally published as Mon 20 Dec 2021)

    Offers released on this website at 7.30am. These are the first offers made to Year 12 students based on ATARs. Offers based on IB, NCEA and interstate results that are not yet available will be made in later rounds. Change your preferences for the next offer round by midnight 6 January.

No other dates in 2021 have been changed and offers for Schools Recommendation Schemes (SRS) will still be released on 12 November.

If you have been waiting for some courses to become available so that you can list them in your preferences, please be advised that  ALL COURSES will be available from 3 August 2021.

 

EAS

 

UAC also reported that there have been no changes to EAS – dates etc., will remain the same as previously published.

Students are able to claim JobKeeper / Seeker as a disadvantage through EAS, the same as in 2020, with a minimum period of 3 months

Plus, if the new COVID disaster payments extend to a period of at least 3 months (July-September), UAC will also include those payments as a disadvantage through EAS.

 

Apply through UAC for Notre Dame courses

 

From 26 July 2021 students will can apply for the University of Notre Dame Australia’s Sydney-based courses as part of their UAC application.

NESA Updates

 

NESA have indicated on their website that it’s Illness and Misadventure process should also be used by Year 12 students who would like to claim for disadvantage as a result or remote learning.

Their latest update from 29 July states:

Changes have been made to the 2021 HSC timetable for oral language, practical, performance and written exams. Read advice for HSC exams and major projects.

NESA will outline a special illness and misadventure process and any other arrangements needed to ensure equity and fairness for all students.

Schools can postpone trial exams or provide an alternative assessment task suitable for the learning from home context. Get advice about contingencies for trial exams.
