Patrick White Indigenous Writers Award

The Patrick White Indigenous Writers Award has been designed to encourage Indigenous Australian students in Kindy to Year 12 studying in NSW to use their reading, writing, and creative skills.

Students are encouraged to write a short story, play or poem relating to one of the following themes:

  • “I’ve got you covered”
  • “Oops!”
  • “What a feeling.”

Prizes from $50 up to $500 and Encouragement Awards from $20 up to $250 will be awarded.

Entries are open until 31 October.
