Top 7 Fun Jobs

Despite what you might think, work doesn’t have to be an endless slog. If you do something you love, you’ll never work a day in your life, right?

Well, we think there are some jobs out there that just sound way more fun than others. If you want a job that will bring some joy and excitement into your life, read on.

Video Game Tester

This one’s probably appealing to lots of teens. You already spend plenty of your free time playing video games – why not get paid to do it?

Video Game Testers are responsible for playing through a game while it’s still in development, or before it’s released to the public. Their job is to catch any bugs or problems so the development team can fix them up.

To succeed in this line of work, you’ll need to be detail-oriented, a little creative, and most importantly have lots of patience. If you’re interested, take a look at a day in the life of Quality Assurance Analyst Madeline below.

Voice Actor

If you’ve got a talent for impersonations or just have a great voice, this could be a career to consider.

As the name suggests, Voice Actors provide audio for a variety of media, including animated TV shows, games, audio books, films, and more. Bonus – because nobody can see you, you can wear whatever you like to work.

It can be a tough industry to break in to, so you’ll need to have some serious talent. You might even like to get your start by teaming up with a friend who’s into animation and creating your own videos.

Ice Cream Taster

This job could satisfy your sweet tooth – Ice Cream Tasters get to try new flavours of ice cream to make sure they’re up to scratch before hitting the shelves. Yum, right?

Having a great sense of taste and creativity is essential to make it in this line of work, and a qualification in food science won’t hurt your chances either.

You might even like to take it one step further and be the person who invents new ice cream flavours…

Doggy Day Care Owner

Spending your day surrounded by adorable puppies and dogs? Sign us up! A love of dogs is obviously a must for this career.

As the owner of a Doggy Day Care Centre, your duties will probably include more than just giving lots of pats and cuddles. You’ll need to have a keen business sense, as well as not being afraid to get your hands dirty.

We’ll admit, we mostly love this video for the cute factor, but it’s worth checking out anyway.

Race Car Driving Instructor

Not for the faint hearted, this fast-paced career involves getting behind the wheel of some serious cars, then teaching other people how to do the same.

You’ll obviously need to be an excellent driver, as well as have the patience to teach others, and a mind for safety too.
