You may have seen the Stop it at the Start campaign’s ‘Bring Up Respect’ advertising over the past few months.
Stop it at the Start is the Australian Government’s national campaign to reduce violence against women and their children. It shows how as mums and dads, family members, teachers, coaches and employers, we all have a role to play in breaking the cycle of disrespect.
We are calling on Australian primary and secondary schools to remind the adults in your network of the important role they play in helping to guide young people in understanding respect.
There are simple ways we can all make a positive change. Even the smallest conversations can add up to have a big impact – for us, our kids, and our communities.
There are a range of practical tools and resources available for you and your community to use and take action to make a positive change. This includes tools and resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and translated materials for people from culturally diverse backgrounds.
