The NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES) Cadet program is a two-year program for students commencing year 11.
The program runs in Darwin and Alice Springs. As a NTPFES Cadet, you will participate in fun and educational activities such as:
- Earning a Certificate II in Community Engagement and a Certificate III in Business
- An outdoor adventure and leadership camp
- A visit to an Indigenous community to learn about cultural and community engagement
- Volunteering in local community organisations
- Work placements, including within the NTPFES
- Several weeks specific to learning the tricks of the trade with Fire and Emergency Services, which includes completing units toward becoming a NT Emergency Services Volunteer
