The Wanago Program at UTS

The Wanago Program delivers NSW STEM HSC subjects for high-school students at UTS to address national STEM workforce gaps.

The UTS Wanago Program is a social justice initiative from the Faculty of Engineering and IT that aims to address STEM subject access inequalities in NSW high schools. STEM skills will be required for 75 per cent of jobs over the next decade. UTS recognises this need to prepare todayโ€™s students for the future demands of the nation’s workforce. Wanago was created to offer STEM subject opportunities for schools with populations that are underrepresented in STEM careers, such as students from low SES areas, and female students.

Wanago graduates are offered direct entry into the Faculty of Engineering and IT undergraduate courses.
