The Footscray Art Prize for Young Artists is open to all primary and secondary students who reside in or attend school in the following Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the west of Melbourne, Victoria: Maribyrnong, Hobsons Bay, Wyndham, Brimbank, Moonee Valley, Melton and Hume.
Students can enter one artwork each into the prize. Entry is free.
All artworks entered into the Footscray Art Prize Young Artists categories will be exhibited at Footscray Community Arts in Footscray, Victoria and go in the running for great prizes:
- $500 for the Primary category
- $500 for the Secondary category.
The artwork needs to be completed, photographed, and submitted online once entries open on Monday 3 October 2022 and before entries close at 12 noon on Monday 20 March 2023.
This is a great opportunity for students to experience the thrill of exhibiting their work and potentially win a great prize!
