The SciX program supports Science Extension students and other keen high school students to complete their research projects.
UNSW have designed a set of tools, resources and equipment to help you investigate your chosen research topic. The research projects are overseen by academic research staff and are delivered primarily by research PhD students.
You’ll be placed into a small group of students and focus on a particular research area and technique. Your group mentors will introduce you to research and tools at the frontier of scientific knowledge, supporting you in developing your individual hypothesis and carrying out an independent research project.
In addition to a one-week summer school, SciX offers you:
- online project-specific pre-work and readings
- online research skills training
- online programming training
- three Zoom Q&A opportunities in late November/early December, late February and early May
Registrations for SciX@UNSW 2023 will close at 11:59pm on Friday 16 December.
