Because we don’t think a singular score or the state of the world should derail your life plans, we announced the first ever Swinburne Early Entry Program in 2020 – an initiative that saw hundreds of Year 12 students admitted into the course of their choice, no ATAR required.
In 2021, we invited students to apply once again; making conditional offers into select courses based on an application and a recommendation from their school.
Eligibility
If you are completing Year 12 VCE, HSC or equivalent, you can apply for the Early Entry Program.
Because there are limited places, not every course at Swinburne is included in the Early Entry Program. We’ve included only those courses where a school recommendation would be a reasonable alternative to selection via ATAR. Places in specialist courses like aviation and film and television are limited by specialist facilities and studio capacity, while nursing and education courses have compulsory entry requirements set by external bodies.

Submit an online application direct to Swinburne, and apply through VTAC.
