If you or your school have an idea for a sustainability project (relating to health, food energy or water), but just doesn’t have the money to see it through, the Zayed Sustainability Prize could be the answer you need.
The Global High Schools prize is US$100,000 awarded to six high schools, from six geographic regions, to enable them to develop sustainability student-led projects for implementation in their own schools.
They must demonstrate impact, innovation and inspiration to enable inclusive and equitable access to quality education.
Schools must propose projects to be implemented within 12-24 months of receiving the Prize, with tangible outcomes in the areas of sustainable health, food, energy, and water.
Open to all high schools with students between 11-19 years old, applications must be made through the school.
Applications must be submitted by 30 May 2019 6:00PM EST.
