Are you interested in kick starting your career in Children’s Services? Or are you looking for a career change?
Penrith City Council is looking to employ committed, enthusiastic and passionate individuals to undertake a full-time 18-month traineeship in Children’s Services. This requires you to work rostered shifts Monday to Friday between the hours of 6:30am-6:30pm.
During this traineeship you will combine study with on-the-job training to gain skills and experience in working with children, as well as obtaining a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. You will also be given opportunities to attend training sessions and one-on-one mentoring throughout your traineeship.
Selection Criteria:
- Be 18 years of age or older by no later than 24 August 2022
- Able to commit to study and work at the same time studying through TAFE via distance learning
- You must vaccinated for COVID-19 or have a Medical Exemption in line with the NSW Public Health Order for Early Childhood Education and Care
- Have a Valid NSW Working with Children Check
