Outward Bound 2022 Traineeships

If you love the outdoors, have a sense of adventure and want to see people grow into the best version of themselves – then an Outward Bound traineeship could be the opportunity of a life time for you.

  • Combine paid work and study and become a part of history with one of Australia’s oldest outdoor education company
  • Based in the ACT and NSW High Country, but expect to travel with programs also in VIC, the rest of NSW and WA
  • Experience a variety of clients, from year to adult corporate programs
  • In partnership with RTO 5star training you will receive a nationally accredited Certificate in Outdoor Leadership

You will be employed by Outward Bound on a 12 months contract at a part time 0.8 load. This provides a great balance of work and paid study time combined with time off to complete assignments and practice your outdoor skills.

Subsidised shared rental accommodation is provided at our rural base on the banks of the Murrumbidgee river at Tharwa, ACT, just 30km from Canberra CBD.
