Hosted at the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, we offer work experience placements for Year 10 students who want to learn more about chemical engineering.
By participating in our interactive activities, students will gain insight into various industries where chemical engineers work and career pathways for chemical engineers. You’ll undertake activities in areas that concern our industry partners.
Students will also be introduced to cutting-edge research where chemical engineers apply their ingenuity, innovation, and creativity to find solutions to the ‘real-world’ problems that are facing our communities.
While you’re with us, you may have the opportunity to see and learn how plasma can be used in water, medicine and agriculture, learn about membrane technology and how this is used to clean and recycle water, and make your own zinc-air batteries.
Placement will run from 11–13 September 2023. Applications close 21 August 2023.
