Council’s work experience program provides students with the chance to gain on-the-job experience to complement their study.
Work experience helps students make informed decisions about their future and provides an opportunity to explore potential careers.
There is a diverse range of work experience opportunities at Council. If you would like to get involved, you can express your interest by submitting an application.
Those eligible for the Work Experience program are:
- a secondary school student who is at least 14 years old;
- a student studying a Certificate III or above with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO);
- a University student.
Work experience placement requests must be linked to course requirements or school career education programs.
Students need to be covered for public liability and personal accident insurance by a recognised educational institution.
Due to the high volume of applications received, preference is given to schools and institutions within the Sunshine Coast area and to students residing on the Sunshine Coast.
