Industry Outlook

Civil Engineering (design & construction of infrastructure including buildings, roads, bridges and utilities) has seen significant growth over the last few years and is forecasted to be a strong leader in the foreseeable future.

This means that demand for everything from draftspeople through to concreters, and plasterers to electricians will be in demand as well. Residential construction is slower (peak growth was in 2016) but demand is still strong for skilled tradespeople in repair, renovations and improvements.
