Eligibility Criteria

Application Criteria:

  • Applicants must have a demonstrated need such as financial and/or social disadvantage. Equity criteria include – but are not limited to – low income family background, living in a rural or isolated region, having a permanent disability, recently migrated from a non-English speaking country, Indigenous Australians, etc;
  • Applicants must remain enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Wollongong for the duration of this scholarship;
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
  • Applicants must be commencing study in 2021 as a full-time first year undergraduate student at UOW;
  • Applicants must submit an application via UOW Scholarship and UAC Equity to be considered for this scholarship.
  • Applicants must submit a cover letter (1 page max) that includes (a) how the scholarship will assist in your studies & (b) your involvement in activities which add value to the community.
